The ToneWinner AD-1PRE+ is a high-end two-channel stereo preamplifier that combines digital audio decoding, analogue source control and MM/MC phono amplification in one component.
Built around an ESS ES9038 DAC, the AD-1PRE+ supports DSD up to DSD512 and PCM up to 32-bit/768kHz through USB Audio. It also provides optical, coaxial, balanced XLR and unbalanced RCA connections, allowing digital players, computers, CD transports, turntables and other stereo sources to be connected to one system.
With balanced circuitry, a multi-chamber internal layout, carefully selected operational amplifiers and a MUSES72323 electronic volume-control chip, the AD-1PRE+ is designed to serve as the control centre of a high-resolution Hi-Fi system.
No. It is a stereo preamplifier, DAC and phono stage. It does not provide speaker-level amplification and normally requires a separate power amplifier.
Yes. The USB Audio section supports DSD64, DSD128, DSD256 and DSD512 with a compatible source and playback configuration.
